The impressive seven storey building is faced with benedict stone, manufactured in Queensland. It is one of the few surviving commercial buildings in the city decorated in the Art Deco style, and remained unchanged until a recent renovation programme by its new owners, C.P.S Credit Union. Internally, the structure features a grand entrance foyer, marble staircase and stained glass windows to the lift.
In 1997 The Building was converted into 59 residential apartments. The renovations were carried out with the assistance of the Brisbane City Councils Heritage Department and encapsulate The Buildings unique historical values. Features of The Building such as the external facade, internal lift lobbies and lift cards, and rooftop antennae, have been maintained in their original conditions.
